Bantia Furtniture - Defective Furniture Delivered and No Response from Bantia Furniture Refund Requested

I am filing this complaint against Bantia Furniture (Kukatpally branch) due to unresolved issues with a recent purchase and a complete lack of response from their end, even after repeated follow-ups via email.
Purchase Details:
Date of Visit: **th June ****
Store: Kukatpally Branch
Items Purchased: Premium Teak Wood Sofa Set (*+*+*) and a Small Teak Wood Table
Invoice Amount: ₹**,*** (full payment made; bill copies attached)
Promised Delivery Date: **th June ****
After the delivery date passed with no communication, I had to personally track the contact details of the Kukatpally store via customer care. They later promised urgent delivery, which was the only proactive response I received.
Issue Description:
Upon visiting the store for a quality check before accepting delivery, I found:
The sofa set had poor workmanship — especially shaking and unstable armrests.
The teak wood table was imbalanced, with uneven legs, making it unsafe and unusable.
When I highlighted these concerns, the response from the staff and manager was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. They made comments like:
“Have you purchased any sofa set earlier? Seems you are purchasing for the first time and you don’t know about teak wood sofa sets.”
Such remarks are not only inappropriate but also suggest a dismissive attitude toward genuine customer concerns. They insisted that the defective condition was “standard” for their products and refused to take any accountability.
Attempts to Resolve:
I requested a refund due to the defective nature of the items.
Mr. Shafi Mohammad informed me that refunds are not guaranteed, without giving any written policy or alternate resolution.
I have sent a detailed email to Bantia Furniture, but I have received no response to date.
My Expectations:
A full refund of ₹**,*** for the defective and unacceptable furniture.
A written confirmation regarding the refund process and timeline within * business days.
Despite paying the full amount upfront for what was promised to be “premium” furniture, I’ve only experienced delay, disrespect, and defective products. The complete absence of customer support or acknowledgment of my emails has further aggravated the issue.

Commitment to improve post-sale customer support and product quality checks
