This is regarding my purchase of Shoes via Louis Stitch website, Order No. *****, delivered on ** April ****.
On ** March ****, I placed an order from Louis stitch website with order number #*****. I received that order on ** March ****, Within few hours I put the request for an as the Shoe ordered was large for me. Post that, my exchange order was taking a lot of time, and I dropped an email to the Louis Stitch mentioned customer care ID mentioning that as its taking a lot of time, please cancel my exchange and process the return. They denied saying that the order cannot be put on return now as its already processed.
On ** April ****, finally I received my exchange order with order ID *****, Also to mention, that the exchange product was cheaper than the initial product and they communicated me that they will refund the difference which never happened. Anyways, to add more, within few hours of receiving the product, I quickly asked for return as the product was very tight(I doubt they are following the BIS standards for shoe making). However, This time, I was informed that the product is "non-returnable" as per their terms and conditions.
I would like to bring to your attention that this restriction was never displayed clearly during the ordering process. It was not reasonably visible at the point of sale, checkout, or on the product page in any explicit manner, thereby amounting to misrepresentation and suppression of material information.
Louis stitch is saying that they are having a terms n condition static page in website, which I should have gone through before placing the order. But no information of this hidden policy was been shown anywhere during product checkout process.
I sent a trail of mails to Louis stitch team and they still did not accepted the return, They concluded that If they will accept the return, they will deduct an amount of ***-*** rs from my refund as a cost of courier for shoes. I cannot accept this as this was never displayed anywhere during checkout. Had they informed or mentioned the same in checkout process, I would have never placed the order from them.
I believe hiding key information in fine print or obscure links, especially concerning consumer rights like returns, constitutes unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, ****.
Need your help in escalating it further to get my hard earned money back
