I am writing this
letter to lodge a strong complaint regarding the billing and cashback treatment on my recent purchase
of "More Selecta Dry Fruit Combi (*** gm each of Almond, Cashew & Raisin)" from your SM Vizag Dutt
Island store.
On ** December ****, I purchased the above-mentioned product from your store. At the time of
purchase, the in-store offer paper clearly displayed that the effective price for Diamond users for this
product was ₹*,***. Relying on this display, I proceeded with the purchase. However, at the time of
billing, I was charged ₹*,*** for the product, as also reflected in the invoice total price for "More
Selecta Dry Fruit Combi."
When I questioned the billing staff at the counter about why I was being charged more than the
effective price of ₹*,***, I was explicitly informed that I would receive the difference as cashback the
next day, and therefore the effective price would still work out to ₹*,*** for me as a Diamond user.
Trusting this assurance from your staff, I completed the transaction.
The next day, when I visited the same store and checked the cashback, I was informed by your team
that the price had changed and that I had already received the applicable cashback. However, on
verifying the actual cashback, I found that only ₹**.** worth of "more points" had been credited
against this product, while I paid ₹*,*** for it. Even after considering this cashback/points credit, the
effective rate of the product does not come down to ₹*,*** as promised at the time of purchase and as
advertised on the offer paper. This amounts to (a) misleading advertisement at the store level and (b)
miscommunication or false assurance by your billing staff.

As per the displayed offer, my effective price as a Diamond user should have been ₹*,***, but in reality
I have paid much more, even after factoring in the points credited. This is an unfair practice and has
caused me financial loss as well as inconvenience and frustration.
Through this letter, I strongly demand the following:
*. Immediate rectification by refunding to me the difference required so that my net effective price for
the product becomes ₹*,*** as per the offer that was displayed and the assurance given by your staff.
*. A written clarification from your side explaining:
- Why the offer paper displayed an effective price of ₹*,*** for Diamond users while the system charged ₹*,***
Why your staff informed me that the difference would be given as cashback, when in reality only
**.** points were credited, which does not align with the promised effective price.
*. Necessary corrective action against the misleading communication and to ensure such discrepancies
between displayed offers, staff assurances, and actual billing/cashback do not recur with any customer
in future.
I am a regular and loyal customer of More, and I expect transparent, fair, and accurate pricing,
especially when you run membership-based offers and point systems. Incidents like this seriously
affect customer trust and the reputation of your brand.
Kindly treat this matter as urgent and resolve it at the earliest by crediting the shortfall amount or
equivalent value in a clear and transparent manner. I request you to respond to this complaint in
writing (SMS/email/WhatsApp) on my registered mobile number ********** and also update me
once the corrective action is completed.
If this issue is not resolved promptly and satisfactorily, I will be constrained to escalate the matter to
your higher management and, if required, to the appropriate consumer grievance and legal forums,
along with all documentary evidence, including the invoice and details of the offer displayed in-store.
