Megha N filed complaint against Luxury Concept on May 4, 2025
I am raising this complaint against Luxury Concept, a furniture company based in Horamavu Bengaluru, for engaging in misleading practices, breaching verbal agreements, and refusing to refund the advance payment despite multiple follow-ups.
We first interacted with the company's sales representative Bhaskar at a Furniture Expo in Palace Grounds, Bengaluru on **th March ****, where we selected a sofa based on his assurance that it would be customized as per the dimensions and layout of our home and delivered within ** days. He also clearly promised a home visit the following day i.e on **th March **** to take measurements and finalize the customization.
However, after the payment:
*. No one visited our home for customization as promised and we tried contacting Bhaskar multiple times and to our surprise his phone never connected.
*. When we contacted the company number, we were instead informed a sofa has been made and pressured to accept it.
*. Upon questioning and insisting on what was originally agreed, a delayed home visit finally happened on **th March ****. But even after that, the company claimed that the same ready-made sofa was "customized" — with no significant changes reflecting our home’s requirements.
*. The company members has since become completely unresponsive, ignoring our calls and messages.
*. To make matters worse, they are now insisting we visit their factory, which is ** km away, instead of honoring their original promise of a home visit and delivery.
What is even more concerning is that, after reviewing their Google Reviews, we found that many other customers have reported similar experiences — false promises, collection of advance payments, and either non-delivery or delivery of incorrect products, with no refunds provided.
This experience has been extremely frustrating, causing mental harassment, waste of time and inconvenience. It is now around ** days since our advance payment and the company is clearly not interested in honoring their commitments.
This complaint is being submitted requesting for an Immediate refund of Rs.***** paid as advance along with compensation for the mental agony, inconvenience caused and to ensure that appropriate consumer protection action is taken against Luxury Concept and that such practices are not allowed to continue unchecked.
