Incident Description:
I am filing this complaint against Ecom Express for delivering a wrong parcel and not responding to my complaints.
Wrong Delivery:
On **th Aug ****, I received a parcel from Ecom Express and was asked to pay *** INR. The parcel was delivered in my mother's name, which is the name I use on my Flipkart account. The amount also matched a recent order I placed on Flipkart.
After paying, I opened the parcel and found a red piece of cloth that I never ordered. The parcel was sent by an unknown seller named "Pal Fashions, Gujarat," and I did not buy this item. I believe my address details might have been leaked from Flipkart.
Delivery Guy’s Behavior:
The delivery person insisted that I could not open the parcel without paying the COD amount. I informed him that I wanted to check the contents before paying, but he refused and said it wasn’t allowed. After I paid and tried to open the parcel, he left abruptly while I was still inspecting the contents. I showed him the red cloth I received, but he quickly took his bike and left. This behavior suggests a pattern of fraudulent activity.
No Response from Ecom Express:
I tried contacting Ecom Express multiple times through phone and email, but they never responded.
So on **th Aug ****, I visited the Ecom Express office in Trivandrum to sort this out. The staff there refused to help and said they couldn’t give a refund because I didn’t return the parcel on the same day. The staff member even admitted they deliver many fake orders like this daily, which was very concerning.
Possible Data Leak:
The fact that the delivery details matched my recent Flipkart order makes me think my information was leaked. I have reported this to Flipkart as well.
What I Want:
Refund: I want a full refund of the *** INR I paid for the wrong parcel.
Investigation: I want an investigation into how my details were used for this fake delivery.
Response from Ecom Express: I expect Ecom Express to take responsibility and respond to my complaint.
Prevent Future Incidents: I want steps taken to stop this from happening to others.
