Hotel Rasika Pure Veg - Cold drink (Sprite) Charges Rs.12 - extra above the MRP

Yesterday (Oct.**, ****) my friends and myself were on the Chakan Shikrapur Road. Being very thirsty, we visited this Hotel and had * (***ml) bottles of Sprite. When asked for the amount to be paid, to our surprise, the person (waiter) who served the soft drink asked us to pay Rs.***/-. I saw the printed MRP on the Sprite Bottle which was Rs.**/-. I asked the waiter how come the hotel is charging Rs.**/- to which he said that this is what being charged to all the customer and that we can talk to the owner in case of any complaints.

We then spoke to the owner ( a local villager) who was really adamant in his behaviour and told us that we can approach any authority that we wished to and that all the rules and regulation are not applicable to his hotel.

I questioned him that how can he charge over the Printed MRP which is against the Law, to which he bluntly said that they are not governed by any law and that locally they have their own law. He also said many things which is not appropriate to mention here.

Kindly look into the matter and request you to take appropriate action against this owner.

It's not a matter of a loss of Rs.**/- but a matter of principle and Injustice meted out to customers like me.
