Individual Person - Chit fund fraud

A Cab driver ( Kumar) and his wife ( Mamatha) persons in the guise of running chits on Monday ** May ****. chits organiser Kumar alias Kumi and his Mamatha a resident of New Byappanahalli had collected chit money, mostly from daily wage workers and housewives. They further alleged that he and his family members committed the fraud to the tune of Rs *.* crores by collecting chit money.
The couple started bringing customers, mostly neighbours, and started saving their money with them in the chits ranging from Rs **,*** to Rs * lakh. When the customers started demanding their money after the completion of tenure, Kumar and Mamatha reportedly avoided them and also left home.
