I booked mover and packer services from nobroker.com. Before making the booking, they called many times to assure of their services, made us believe that they are most concerned about our work.
It all changed on the morning of shifting. We were shifting a two bedroom house from Delhi to Noida. The packing started at *.** am and ended at *.** am next morning.
This is how everything unfolded.
*. * people turned up when we were promised for *. During Covid ** times, it was promised everyone will wear masks but no one was ready to wear a mask and straight forward said no. With only half manpower and without any training, they were shabbily packing stuff and eventually damaging a lot of it.
*. We reached out to point of contact from www.nobroker.com and were given fake assurances. No one addressed our concern and we were left with no choice but to carry on since we had to shift the same day.
*. The survey was done well in advance but still there was not enough packing material. The furniture was packed only at one corner and not completely which was promised us before. Later i figured out they were basically dragging out furniture from the corners where they had put some covering. It ended up breaking corners of our bed and table.
*. Packing was going on extremely slow and when we realised that there is no way it is going to be completed, we called noborker.com again but instead of listening to us, the company representatives started telling us that we dont understand it and were not ready to listen. They did not abuse us but did everything else to humiliate us. Eventually, they stopped taking our calls.
*. I shifted with exactly same stuff last year and i was at my new location by * in the afternoon however, only half of my stuff was packed by * pm. On our insistence they had got another smaller vehicle and loaded our household stuff shabbily. The boxes below were completely destroyed. It started raining and we had to push them to cover our staff in the smaller vehicle. They put a tarpauline sheet which did not help as it neither was tied nor it covered the entire stuff.
*. They offered us to come back again next day and pushed us to move half our stuff since it was getting dark, raining and noborker.com stopped taking our calls. Without a choice, we agreed.
*. They shabbily loaded our furniture with whatever they could shove in the tempo which they had got along with smaller vehicle. Even this tempo was a small one. As soon as it started raining, they without even informing moved the smaller vehicle when we had given them clear instructions that both vehicles will go together.
*. After reaching our new place, we were asked to make complete payment when they did not shift even half of our stuff. They said they wont unload unless we make the payment to which we refused. This time around, they said they will go back and bring our remaining stuff tonight itself. This was already *.** pm. And our stuff was still loaded in the vehicle drenching in rain.
*. To get over this ordeal, we agreed to have our stuff moved same night itself. What we later figured out that this time around, they took smaller vehicle. All of this happening when we had shown them our total household stuff, reconfirmed that the vehicle is big enough to carry all household stuff at least thrice.
**. They went back again, without packing anything, they just shoved everything in smaller vehicle. I had to leave a lot of stuff back there since, there was no room in small vehicle to carry my stuff. On the way, they stopped vehicle midway, and said we have to make complete payment otherwise they would not move the vehicle. It was happening at **.** in the night.
**. Nobroker.com had shut its shop and nobody was taking call. We were left with abusive staff members of the company and had to agree to everything they said.
**. The vehicle reached uncovered, my stuff unpacked while it continued to rain post midnight leaving lot of my stuff behind due to smaller vehicle. I had to beg to my apartment management to allow us continue shifting.
The level of cheating, and misbehaving has never been experienced by us even when we dealt with roadside people providing any service. It is a shame that one has to go through all of this while the staff misbehaves with our old parents.
All of it for what. Some money. nobroker.com is cheating customers not with their money but harassing them to point that you eventually reach a point of helplessness and want it to get over. I wish nobody ever had to go through this.
The laws and regulation is so laxed that even after complaining, we will find no resolution and we certainly dont want to relive those ** hours of horror. What we can do is shame the company and help others to not fall for this trap.
