Indigao airlines - Charged on one checked in bag for extra baggage weight for 2 people under same pnr

I recently experienced an issue with baggage charges during my travel with Indigo, and I would like to provide my experience. When I initially purchased tickets for two people, they were under the same PNR. However, at the counter, I was charged extra for baggage weight, and it seemed that the PNR had been split without clear notification.
