Aravind Eye Hospital & Pg Institute Of Ophthalmology - Cataract Surgery

My dad was admitted for eye checkup and he was adviced to do cataract operation since there are cataract formation in his eyes. So we agreed and they sent us to their counseling department, and there they said that '* kinda lenses available, pricing **k and **k. I was asking for any other better lens for both long and short sight. They said like 'these * only available, choose it soon. The lady who was giving counseling wasn't that much knowledged and was arrogant in handling the patient's. Even the doctors didn't treat us properly. So we opted for **k lens, as it is costly in the list she said. But there was a chart in that counseling hall listing lenses of more than * kind pricing upto **k. When i asked about that, she said this **k is enough for you. When asked about the vision after fixing it, she said it ll be good,not to worry. We did the operation next day. And my dad was advised to use eyedrops for a month. Before operation my dad was able to see objects clearly that are nearer and wasn't able to see objects well that are far. The very next day my dad was saying that he couldn't see anything that are near him. So we went to the hospital and consulted the doctor. The doctor was even more arrogant than the lady who gave counseling. She didn't even answer for our question. Atlast one nurse was saying 'sir for nearer vision you should have choosed **k lens'. My dad was heartbroken. His job is to work with objects that are near. If the doctors had informed about that **k lens, we would have fixed that itself. Now it can't be operated again. My dad and my entire family are totally depressed. He might lose his job now. Pls take some necessary action on Aravind Eye hospital Peelamedu Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.
