Gionee Max - As per Gionee customer care information warranty is available for failure of display Customer servic

We purchased a GIONEE MAX (Royal Blue, **GB) on **-April **** From the e-commerce website - FLIPKART.

ORDER ID - *D******************..

The phone was delivered in a proper condition, but after using it for ** days, while it was connected to the computer(transfer of files); the screen suddenly stopped responding.

After this we called up the GIONEE CUSTOMER CARE NUMBER - *********** to find out about the nearest service centers to our town GUNTAKAL(PIN - ******) which is in ANANTAPUR DISTRICT , ANDHRA PRADESH .
We were informed that the nearest service center is located in Anantapur and was given the below address and contact number.

We called the above number and the person was very helpful and REDIRECTED and gave us another number stating that he is NO LONGER providing services for GIONEE.

The number given to us was a land-line connection ( ***** - ******); when we called this number a person responded saying that they are open from *:** A.M. to **:** P.M. (due to lockdown) every weekday.

My brother travelled for * hours and reached ANANTAPUR just to find the shop closed.

We called the CUSTOMER CARE Number once again to find out the details further, but the NONE of them were able to update us about the details of CUSTOMER CARE CENTER at Anantapur - the only response we got was, " BECAUSE OF THE LOCKDOWN THE CUSTOMER CARE CENTER AT ANANTAPUR IS CLOSED; PLEASE CALL AFTER FEW DAYS AND WE WILL UPDATE YOU ON THIS"

However after a few days.. my brother went to Anantapur and gave the mobile to the customer service center.

The mobile is still in warranty period and we were charged amount for the same.... The customer care people said that.. the Warranty will be void only if the the mobile fell down or fell into water...
Nothing of this sort happened but we were charged for the same.
