I was an employee at Teleperformance and used to work for a particular Domain. My job position was of a CSA. On the **th of February my health took a toll and thus I informed my Team Leader of my Absence. Initially I thought that it's just a normal fever and I'll be back and running in the next couple days. Turns out, my situation began getting worse and in the next two days itself I did a medical blood test which revealed that I was suffering from Jaundice and accute liver dysfunction. Information about the same was also provided to my Team Leader which was via WhatsApp because unfortunately our site didnt provide us any official mail ID where we can send these stuff. The doctor prescribed a ** day bed rest which was also reported. After the ** days my bilirubin count increased drastically (almost doubled) and I was put to bed rest for ** more days. Within this period, all of a sudden, even after I kept on providing all my details to my team lead including the medical documents and blood test reports, I received an intimation and then the very next day I received a termination letter on the grounds that I couldn't provide any actual rejoining date which was next to impossible since in a disease like jaundice, the patient requires minimum ** days of bed rest. Upon contacting the local HR, they were of no help. My manager couldn't help me either since from their systems, my ID was separated. And this went on for days and days.
Now after * days from then, the feedback team called me. And I let them know the whole story, also mentioned that I was planning to rejoin after immediately after I recovered. The backend HR was of some help cause the company agreed to somehow reinstate my ID back. Again this drama went on for a week and I called them to gain more information about the status. They said that the reinstating request was denied from the backend HR team. I was in a shock cause I was planning to rejoin. This rejection of Reinstating my ID was because the owner of our site, Priti Ghosh, didn't know how to initiate a reinstation request and didn't seek any help regarding the same, whatsoever. The time period for reinstation of ID's got crossed and this the backend HR team and everyone on every stage kept questioning why the request for the same was raised so late.
It's been ** days since the whole incident. I am sitting at home jobless cause they didn't provide me any release letter or experience letter whatsoever. My salary for the last month I worked before I took a sick leave has been held. I am sick and tired of this company with no information about my job status and with no one responding on either end of the system. I need help. I'd be really greatfull if something can be done about this.
