I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent experience I had while traveling from Dubai to Bangalore, with a connecting flight in Hyderabad. At the Hyderabad airport, I purchased liquor from the Hyderabad duty-free shop, and the staff assured me that there would be no issues carrying it on my connecting flight.
The security personnel seized my liquor as it was not sealed properly, and he said Liquor is not allowed in hand luggage. The main issue is that liquor is not sealed properly. I am disappointed with the misleading information provided by the duty-free staff in Hyderabad and the inconvenience this has caused me.
I understand that the duty-free staff might be under pressure, but it is important for them to ensure that all items sold are sealed correctly to avoid such issues. The situation not only caused me inconvenience, but also financial loss as I was unable to retrieve my purchase.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could look into this matter and provide assistance on how to resolve this issue.
