I am a Super mile club member @ Zoom Car and often take cars from them. I booked a Car(Baleno) on *th Feb **** for ***/- Rupees (paid including credits from Zoom Car, which I earned by booking cars). Unfortunately, I extended my time for ride by an hour that day and I was asked to pay an outstanding amount of ***/- Rupees for * hour, which I agreed upon paying. Also they did provide the delivery and pick up of the car from my place (amount included in overall payment)
On **th Feb I once again booked a Car (Scorpio) for ****/- Rupees and opted for delivery and pick up of the car from my place. The Car was supposed to be delivered to me by * AM in the morning, and after multiple attempts to the help desk @ Zoom Car, I was finally told that they cannot deliver the car and I should go pick up the car from their pickup point, which was close to ** kms. They assured to pay for the Cab amount which I paid to reach the pickup point. It was ** AM in the morning when I took the car from their pickup point and finally completed the ride by giving them the car on time (a service guy from them picked up the car). When I called them to ask for the refund on the amount for the Cab and * hours that I wasted, plus the delivery service I paid for, they confirmed doing so in few days and never got back. I tried to contact them and was said the same thing again.
I once again booked a car(Scorpio) on **th March for ****/-Rupees and unfortunately extended my free kilometers and once again I was asked to pay an outstanding amount of ***/- Rupees. At this point, I reminded them about the refund I had been waiting on from them and the same to be adjusted towards the outstanding amounts, which they agreed upon and yet again never got back to me on it.
I finally booked a Car(Swift) again today ie *rd August and made a payment online for ***/-Rupees (NO OUTSTANDING AMOUNT was displayed on booking page) I took an option of going to their pick up point to pick up the car. When I went there, I was not allowed to pick up the car because of my previous outstanding (which I assumed was resolved). After spending an hour on the phone waiting at their pick up point, I was still not allowed to take the car. When I asked them to cancel the booking and issue an refund, they denied as the booking had already started at *.**pm. I waited till *pm at their point speaking to a Supervisor (Karthik) at Zoom Car, trying to explain my issue and how can they resolve it, but to my bad luck, the supervisor was adamant about getting the outstanding amounts paid first and only after which he would allow the car to be released. He also agreed upon my previous issue of **th Feb and said he will refund me the ***+*** rupees for the missed delivery of the car plus for the * hours which I dint had the car.
I requested to cancel my current booking as the time was just wasted and amount be adjusted in my outstanding amount, they denied doing so. I request the consumer court to help me at the earliest to get my money refunded.
