I bought an HP envy laptop from flipkart on *nd Aug ****. It worked fine for a around **-** days following which screen started going dim and flickering on battery mode(not while charging). I thought this must be some minor software issue arising due to bugs in updates and stuff and it will be resolved within in due course of time with subsequent updates and being a college student with mid sem exams going on I couldn't report it to HP. The problem remained persistent and I tried everything from updating BIOS to Graphics driver but nothing worked.
So, finally I had to travel all the way to Noida from North Delhi to HP Service Centre on **st Aug.They said I won't get a replacement as it has exceeded ** day period they took the laptop saying they will look into it. After six days I got a call from them to pick up my laptop as the issue has been resolved. According to them they just factory reset the laptop and the issue was resolved. They said they observed the laptop for six days and the issue hasn't come up. The irony is that the day I got the laptop back I faced the same issue again. Then I called the customer support of HP and they assigned an engineer for me. The engineer who came to my residence was pretty startled about the issue and didn't have a clue about it. But since the issue happened in BIOS also he said it's a hardware failure but what hardware part failure he didn't know. Anyway he took the laptop and next day I called HP again, speaking to their senior customer representative, I spoke of all the problems I am facing because of having no access to my laptop for the most part and how much I have suffered and asked for a replacement. She said she will send an email to her seniors and I will get a reply whether or not I will get a replacement within ** hours. I didn't get any reply form HP, instead I got my laptop back yesterday with the display panel changed. Reluctant to accept but I hoped for the problem to be resolved. But to my astonishment it started happening again. I am fully drained of all the energy. I have missed on important deadlines of my college work and am immensely stressed.
PS: I just checked on Flipkart that some other people have been having the same issue. They got a replacement from Flipkart but the replacements are also not working. I suspect this is a failure of whole batch or something.
I therefore want my money back and reparations for all that I have suffered. Honestly, I am reluctant to accept a replacement.
