My above mobile number with bsnl kolkata for last ten years was ported-out to bsnl kanpur (uttar pradesh) on **th october ****.
the previous mobile service provider bsnl kolkata had ported out my number after clearing the pending bill amount and without refunding my security deposit amount which they are holding for last almost ten years.
now, after almost three months after porting-out of my mobile number to kanpur, bsnl is sending messages to clear an old bill for the period *-**-**** to **-**-**** (copy enclosed) or else the mobile services to my same number now with kanpur circle of m/s bsnl will be stopped from **-*-****.
i approached bsnl kanpur for clearing of this wrongly generated bill (copy enclosed) but they showed their inability and asked me to get it deposited in kolkata only. i also met the general manager of mobile services at bsnl kanpur and he also showed his inability to do anything and advised to clear the matter at bsnl kolkata only.
now, i seek relief on following points :
*) how any mobile services provider can continue to generate bills even after porting-out of any number ?
*) when all the pending bills were cleared before porting out, how the service provider can threaten the customer for stopping of services. this is a mental harrassment as they are sending messages as daily countdown for stopping of mobile services.
this all when they are holding back my security deposit for almost ten years, without any interest on it.
*) why the security deposit is not returned to consumer at the time of porting-out ?
*) even if there was any mistake, the pending amount can be adjusted from the security deposit and balance can be refunded.
*) for the period april **** to october **** (around ** months) i have paid almost Rs *****/= to bsnl towards my postpaid mobile bills. The company never informed about their own new plans, which were much much cheaper than my this ten years old and now very expensive plan.
i strongly feel cheated by bsnl and now being mentally harrassed also by daily threats of stopping of mobile services on my post ported mobile number for non payment of a bill generated by old service circle of bsnl, that too for the period which is after the date of porting-out. (copy enclosed)
i request you to kindly get this matter resolved with bsnl- the mobile services provider and i should be refunded my security deposit amount along with suitable compensation for mental harrassment being incurred on me.
