I purchased Dell **** on **/**/**** by spending Rs *****. On the very day of its purchase, I noticed the issue of flickering and blacking out of the screen. I reported the issue to its customer care which told me first to video shoot the entire event which is nearly impossible. (Took lot of pain to shoot it as the episode of flickering was completely random). After a lot of requests, they finally agreed to replace the system with a new one (Service request no. *********). It took Dell around * months to replace and I suffered during this period to nonavailability of working system even after spending *****. I even requested to arrange a standby system so that I may continue to do work but they responded negatively.
After I received a new system again I reported the same issue with the replaced system within * days to their social media team and they asked me to do troubleshooting and updating the various things in the system but to no avail. After the issue kept on repeating again and again but each time they asked to update something and other time to update something else. I continued to complain regarding the same issue repeatedly and they just asked me to troubleshoot as if I purchased Dell laptop to troubleshoot. This continued for around *-* months when they changed the LCD (Service Dispatch no. ***********)on */*/****. Changing of LCD screen had no effect on the problem and it kept on coming more frequently. I again reported the issue and asked them to refund my hard earned money to which they agreed to replace again LCD along with the motherboard (Service request no. ********* and Dispatch ***********) on */*/****. Please note that all this I did while I was on vacation and was expecting to have quality time with my family.
The issue did not end here and the same problem again came in laptop i.e flickering and blacking out of the screen. I have following questions to Dell
*) How could two consecutive systems with the same model possibly have the same issues?
*) If it is coincident and not a manufacturing defect then why even after replacing the motherboard problem is not solved?
I paid Rs ***** of hard earned money to purchase a laptop in order to have peace of mind but what I got is hours of troubleshooting with Dell (as if I have a lot of time), hours requesting them to address the issue. I have gone a lot through the last year apart from frustration, irritation and lack morality shown by Dell towards me in tackling this issue
I demand the following
*) Compensation of not at least less than Rs ****** for subjecting through pain, frustration and not able to do my work even after spending a handsome amount of laptop.
*) Apart from this, I want a full refund of the amount spent on purchasing a laptop.
