Hi Team, I am writing to complain about the way my request for interest waiver has been handled so far by Paramount Group of Companies and its customer service team.
This all started with offer of possession email I received on * Mar **** with a letter dated ** Feb ****. I never received the physical copy ever. I wrote an email to Paramount on ** Mar **** highlighting my concern regarding readiness of the property. I did not receive any response from them and I kept on calling as well in the meanwhile. I spoke to Reena from Paramount Customer Services team on ** Apr and finally got a response. She mentioned the unit will be ready prior to handover and I need to clear my dues. I raised the issue of due date in the letter, which mentioned ** days from the date mentioned on the letter. While I didn’t receive the physical copy ever, the email was also sent to me * days past the date on the letter. Anyway, I also told her about the home loan I had to apply and requested for an extension. She asked me to send a request and I received an extension till * May **** to clear off my dues. While I made my share of payments by ** Apr ****, Axis Bank too released the remaining balance on ** May **** in spite of significant delays in getting the required documents from Paramount.
This is where all problem started. Paramount didn’t remove interest from my Statement of Account in spite of their earlier approval.
What has been really frustrating is the response I received from Paramount Customer Service team since May-**. Every time I called them up they assured that they would get this interest waived off and would call me to update/share my Statement of Account with zero interest. While I kept on waiting for their calls which never came through, I ended up calling them every week for an update. As you will appreciate, it is extremely distressful handling such situations while you live outside India and is unable to visit Paramount offices in person.
When I called the Custkmer Service today (*-Aug), I got a very disappointing response. They straightaway refused to waive my interest and said the approval was only for the extension in timelines and not for interest waiver. Paramount has started behaving like thieves and want to rob their customers. While they handed over the possession late, they still have audacity to harass customers like this.
