- Illiterate Senior Citizen being scammed by Reliance Jio Fiber ^Open

I got Reliance Jio Fiber connection for my mother and paid * months in advance so that she gets uninterrupted internet to watch online movies, etc. After * months, Reliance Jio Fiber salesman fiddled with wire connection. Then he came to my mother and lied that the subscription was over and has to be renewed. My mother stayed alone then and she called me if she can renew. I agreed to pay in advance for the current connection. Instead of renewing current connection, Reliance Salesman created a new connection. He took my mother's Aadhar Card, Photo and also used her mobile to get OTP, etc. Very cunningly (like a professional scammer) he took charge of my mother's phone. I paid on the online link that he sent by SMS. All this was done with the understanding that we were paying advance for our current connection. This salesman he created new connection, gave a new setup box. When we could not connect to the previous connection ID, I realised in the evening that he had created a new connection though our current connection was active. I called Reliance the same evening and got the new setup connection deactivated. This all happened on **-Oct-****. Since then I am following up with Reliance for refund. Escalated to Appellate Authority but they only keep delaying by copying-pasting canned responses. Their entire team seems to be involved in this because any other company would be ashamed of such behaviour of their salesman. However, this company is least bothered. The salesman took advantage of my mother's inability to read and write. In addition to loss of Rs. ****, there has been mental harassment and also my mother feeling cheated because of her not able to read and write.
