I placed an order of a L shape sofa (seller Bharat lifestyle) from flipkart with order id OD****************** on *rd Oct'** for Rs.***** + *** using flipkart supercoins. The expected delivery date was **rd Oct'**. As per flipkart notifications on the app, my order was picked by courier partner on *th Oct'** and it was shipped on *th Oct'** only. Hoping to get the delivery as expected as it was shipped on time I sold my old sofa on urgent basis to make way for the new one due to shortage of space. On **rd Oct, app showed ' arriving today' for the sofa and also received a message from flipkart with the tracking id and courier agency detail. **rd Oct being Saturday (holiday) I kept waiting the whole day at home but didn't received any update from either the courier agency nor from flipkart. My whole day was wasted as considering the festival season approaching I couldn't visit the market. On **rd Oct'** night I raised a complain at flipkart regarding my order delivery. When traced the tracking Id it showed that on **rd Oct the order was shipped from Indore. On **th Oct at *:** pm it reached the gurgaon hub. I thought that since Gurgaon is near too my place tha order will be delivered on **th Oct but still it wasn't delivered. As there was no response from Flipkart side I mailed the courier agency(Delex Courier) on **th Oct'** regarding my odrer delivery and received reply late night the they will ensure that my order is delivered tomorrow (**th Oct'**) on priority basis. On **th Oct also the order was not delivered and again dropped a mail. On **th Oct'** around *:** am, I received a call from the courier agency stating that order will be delivered today and confirmed the address. Later on **th Oct in the afternoon another executive from the courier agency called that due to misunderstanding the order was taken to a wrong warehouse and will deliver it next day.
Till date no response has been received from flipkart. Flipkart being the electronic commerce operator/seller of the item needs to make sure the item is delivered on time and keep following up with the seller and courier agency. But due to their negligence, I have to follow up with such a pathetic courier agency and waste my time on these follow ups.
Due to all of this delay, I have to suffer from humiliation as during the festival season I'm unable to welcome the guest due to no seating arrangement at home. As request flipkart to refund my money as the order cannot be cancelled so that I can purchase it from the local market to avoid further embarrassment from the society.
