I have been using the airtel family plan(Rs***/month) for long and suddenly in august, my plan got autoupgrade(Rs****/month) without any prior information to be me.Not only this, some additional charges were also added & a bill of Rs.**** was generated for the month. On visiting the airtel store, the executives were also clueless and could not help about how the plan was changed or details of the bill. Later, on downgrading my plan back to Rs.***/month, I had requested your executive to remove * numbers from my plan.
After raising the request, I got a call confirming that I want to discontinue those numbers and would not be able to use them or switch them to prepaid.The executive on call kept on insisting initially to try for this month with the numbers included saying that he doesn't think any extra charges would occur for that number.When i refused to this as I could clearly see the amount of connections possible in the plan, In Spite of me declining discontinuation of number multiple times as I just wanted to remove it from family plan and use them as prepaid, the executive just responded that there is no other option for him and the request is already processed due to which my number eventually got discontinued.
I fail to understand the concept of confirmation call if there was no other option available and moreover this was not my request at the first place.
After making multiple visits to the airtel store, I was able to have the number started again and switched to prepaid which I then got to know was just a process of a few minutes. Not only this, even after downgrading the plan, I was again given a bill of Rs**** as processing the request of removing the numbers from my plan took almost a month from your side.
Such sort of service is not at all what we expect from airtel. A huge and prestigious company defrauds its customers through such tactics and the impolite and irresponsible executives are as clueless as the customer itself about the company's plans and just procrastinate the query to get rid of the customer for the moment.
