I am writing this with utmost regrets and have undergone mental trauma for the past * months due to the most irresponsible, unresponsive and lethargic, service and attitude from the team in PPS Tata motors, Chromepet, Chennai. I would like to bring to your notice regarding the events in chronological order, for my flood affected vehicle - Tata Nexon, that has been held in PPS service centre for the past * months.
The vehicle was handed over to the service centre on Dec ** ****. An initial amount of Rs.***** was paid on Dec **** to process the formalities. The vehicle was lodged under category "B'' as water level was only till the wheel arch and well below the bonnet.
However, even after multiple follow ups, the vehicle was left unattended for * months under most unfavourable conditions. One fine day in Apr ****, I received a call from the service team stating that I did not hand over the key to them and they needed the spare key to start the vehicle. I confirmed that I handed over the key to them and went in person to give the spare key and was appalled to find the car in the most pathetic state and also identified that wheel caps were missing too. Manager Mr. Guhan accepted that new remote key and wheel caps will be ordered and replaced from their end and confirmed that the car will be serviced and delivered within * weeks.
However, again a shocker came to us from the team when they mentioned that the ignition of the car engine failed due to the flood and I had to pay an additional amount of Rs*,***** for the engine as my insurance did not cover the engine. My other neighbour who owns a Honda Amaze (ground clearance -*** mm), never had an issue of flood water entering the engine. But somehow, the service centre claims that water could have entered the engine in my Nexon which has a ground clearance of *** mm. It clearly shows that the engine ignition failed due to the poor unattended condition of my car in the yard, for a duration of more than * months.
After much negotiation, Manager Mr. Guhan accepted to waive off Rs. **,*** as they had failed to attend the vehicle within a stipulated time. I had paid another amount of Rs.***** on May *, ****. But again tardiness was shown in starting the repair work and I had to escalate the issue to the GM Mr. Venkatesh, after which they initiated the work on May *, ****.
Not much to my surprise, the work has been happening for the past * months and still I have not received my car. I have been deeply distressed mentally and physically for the past * months due to the extremely poor service offered by PPL Tata motors Chennai.
I have reached the fag end of my patience level and demand the concerned authorities to take necessary action and deliver my car at the earliest. I also need the balance bill amount to be completely waived off and if possible, get a refund of Rs **,*** that I had paid initially for all the traumatic encounters I had to face with PPL Tata motors. I am writing this on behalf of many customers who undergo this kind of treatment from all Tata motors dealers and wish nobody in future, faces such travails for investing and trusting in Tata cars.
