Resolution Demanded:
On *th Nov **** morning by *:**am, I recharged my prepaid number **xxxxxx** using Thanks app for ***.**(INR) Transaction ID: ********
After that, I continued using "thanks app" and saw the postpaid plan banner. I clicked and proceeded with next screens at the end it activated the postpaid plan for me immediately(without any physical verification or documentation or payment). So, my *st recharge of ***.** will be accounted to prepaid and I've been already switched to postpaid.
So, I have contacted the customer support for reporting the issue. Later, I got a call from airtel support staff "Shruthi" at **:**am and she told that it will be escalated with internal ref no: *-*JALIAWS*
Later, by evening *:**pm another airtel support staff "Sourav" called and told me that he don't have authority to either switch me back(I've to wait * months by then my *** prepaid plan will expire) to prepaid or transfer the ***.**(INR) which i paid, just before accidentally migrating to postpaid. He told me to escalate this issue with appellate authority and provided me with the contact details. So, I've emailed to appellate.tn@in.airtel.com on Nov **th stating the above issue for which i have not received any response till date.
I request for further assistance and support on this regard. I'm sure I'm not the only one who lost the money like this. *** rupees may look very small amount(I'm sure it might be happening to a lot of consumers everyday). For a country like India if Airtel can take money from consumers like this, I left to the readers imaginations how big scam Airtel is involved in. So, I'm demanding justice here representing common consumers. Thank you
