Hi Team,
I have been planning my trip to Switzerland for which I had to apply the VISA. I have been looking to book a hotel which i can use for visa application. So, I have used agoda.com for that made some booking and canceled some as I was in the initial phase of my trip planning.
I had to amend the booking before submission the VISA application as I have arranged flight reservation for Zurich.
I have put the filter (free cancellation and pay later) on AGODA, then B&B Hotel Zurich Airport Rumlang pop's up on the top as per the filters. I have simply booked the hotel upon booking it does ask for the credit card details which is normal. But as soon as I have booked the hotel, I have received bank message that more that *** euros has been deducted. I thought that I will cancel the booking later, upon checking I found that it is showing non-refundable. I thought that might be a mistake so i tried to cancel but again it has shown that there will not be any refund.
I tried to contact Agoda on chat they said that will check with property, next day after doing follow up they said property has denied refunding.
They asked me to contact property, I have contacted the property and they said they have no problem with the cancellation, and they are not charging anything on the cancellation.
I have contacted to Agoda again then they asked me the name and position of the person who has confirmed me that they are not charging anything on cancellation.
I have contacted the property again and discussed the issue with them and got the detail of General manager of hotel who has confirmed that Agoda has to confirm that they do not have any issue.
I have emailed them, and they have stopped responding on email.
I have initiated a chat again with AGODA and they said the same thing that property is denying waiving the penalty.
Even I have requested that you can charge **% of the full amount as the booking is for future which is after one month.
But they are not listening, when I said that i will file a complaint then they have blocked my message and it was not showing on chat window after which they have ended the chat even, they are not responding on any new chat.
I really need help here so that I can get my refund. These guys are just making free money by cheating with us.
