I am a vodafone customer for a long time. My number is : +** **********. I moved to Canada in august **** and had international roaming pack activated for about * years. This plan was only for ** rs and if anyday I make any calls or use that number, the plan would charge me *** rs for that day. In past * years , Vodafone added *** like *-* times to my bill. I only used this number when I needed my bank OTP and thats the reason why I had to keep this number activated even in Canada. Once or twice I paid without any questions. But there were days, when I didn even activate my vodafone sim for months and still *** rs would be added to my bill. I tried to send several emails and talk to customer care. But I always got one automated reply saying our billing system is correct and we cannot revert your charges.
I had no choice then to pay as otherwise they would block my number and I wont be able to make bank transactions. So I kept the phone number activated and paid unnecesarily.
Now interestingly, I came for a vacation in India in Jan **** for a month so I had changed my plan to red_plan *** for a month. But during my stay in canada, time and again vodafone kept charging me unnecesarily for some calls which I never made. But still I paid the bill because I didnot want to get into unneccesary complains. Now before returning to Canada on *rd March, I specially went to the custome care in Delhi and asked them to change my plan back to international roaming and stop *** plan. She happily activated my *** international roaming plan (which was earlier ** rs) and forgot to deactivate *** plan. I had such a time crunch and I went to customer care to change my plan.She even gave me ***+ discount as last bill again had some *** charges on my bill. But still after * months I realised these guys were charging me ***+***. I wrote many emails to corporate vodafone but always they have one same thing to say. Its like nobody even bothers to read the emails and just send a copy paste reply to all the emails I sent them. I tried to call customer care. After so many days, I was finally able to talk to this lady who didn even know what she was doing. I requested her to atleast now cancel my *** plan since I am not using it. She told me if she cancels that , my number will no longer be activated. I tried to explain her that I was using just international plan for * years and I am requesting to do the same. She didnot understand. When I told her to transfer the call to her manager, she failed to do so. I tried to tweet do whatever I could but everyone gave same reply. Teh lady at delhi customer office told me that ** plan is now *** and I had got that activated. But currently customer care says they dont have any plans as such. And they keep charging me for both the plan.s This time I wana fight for my rights and now I am claiming to get all extra money they have charged me in the course of * years. Thats why I am raising this complaint.
