VIET JET AIRWAYS COM - AIRLINE HARRASMENT

I booked a ticket for my parents one stop flight, India to Vietnam and Vietnam to
China for **/**/**** on KIWI.COM using your card for $***.**. As per Itinerary only
*KG. cabin bag was allowed and no check in baggage allowed. so my parents called
couple of times to kiwi.com and Viet jet airlines from India regarding their only *
KG. baggage allowance and self transfer policy. As they had * days stay in China and
only *Kg of clothes including bag was not sufficient, over the phone they were told
that they are not allowing check in baggage due to self transfer process. Meaning
you don't need to go to baggage claim area and re enter the Vietnam airport, and
that's why they are only allowing cabin luggage for this kind of flights. Even it
was confirmed over the phone that my parents have valid China visa and it's true
that my parents have ** years China visa valid till ****.
They are USA citizen, so they can get on arrival visa at Vietnam airport, as they
had * hours layover @ Vietnam airport. So there was no question of issuing a
boarding pass for the first flight.
When on **TH OCTOBER my parents reached AHMEDABAD ( INDIA) airport, their first
flight AMD TO HAN for the flight NO. VJ ****. VIET JET airways staff denied them
issuing a boarding pass and gave the invalid reason of not having Vietnam visa.
They forced them to buy one more ticket from Vietnam to Thailand and then buy
another more ticket from Thailand to China to complete this trip. Meaning they did
not honor
this itinerary purchased on KIWI.COM
They issued boarding passes. After * hours of argument at Indian airport, my parent
bought extra ticket at Viet Jet airport Ahmedabad ( INDIA) counter worth $***.**
before ** minutes of scheduled departure.
Now their *nd leg ticket form Vietnam to China from the KIWI.COM was not usable
because now they had to fly from INDIA to VIETNAM and Vietnam to Thailand and
Thailand to China.
They called me from the Indian airport on **th October night to buy one extra
ticket from Thailand to China for the last leg, so I bought one more ticket worth
$*** on Kiwi.com of KENYA airways flight using AMEX card. My parents showed the
Viet Jet airways staff this Kenya airways flight booking and they confirmed that
everything is good to go now.
and my parents were issued two boarding passes INDIA TO VIETNAM AND VIETNAM TO
THAILAND.
Real problem started when they reached Bangkok ( Thailand ) airport. Kenya airways
denied boarding pass to my parents for a flight from Bangkok to China and gave the
reason that they don't have any agreement or contract with VIET JET AIRWAYS and they
will not issue a boarding pass. After * hours of argument that flight took off and
my parents were in terrible situation. Tears came to their eyes in real.
Bangkok ( Thailand ) is really a very huge airport. They are senior citizens and
had to walk several kilometers for help, they wanted to reach China from Bangkok by
any means. They tried with all the airlines counter, but all the airlines were
booked and some flights were already left. It was very difficult for them to walk on
this huge airport.
Finally my dad booked one more ticket from Bangkok to China and it was available for
next morning @ *.** AM. They used Capital Bank card to purchase $***.** ticket for
this last leg on cheapoair.com website
They had to sleep on airport benches for almost ** hours without their VEG. food
they really struggled for food and water on the airports during this ** hours of
terrible and tiresome experience.

They were supposed to check in on **th @ China Hotel but they reached on **th
morning. They took ** hours to reach from India to China instead ** hours and had to
buy extra tickets worth $****.
They were so exhausted that they could not utilize first two days of their trip in
China.
Unfortunately * tickets were unused from KIWI,COM itinerary, *st one VIETNAM TO
CHINA and *nd one from BAGKOK TO CHINA without any reason.
During * days stay in China parents called KIWI.COM about this harassment and the
agent understood the situation and confirmed the bad treatment given by Viet Jet
airways staff at Indian airport. And even he confirmed that Viet Jet wrongly forced
my parents to buy extra ticket from Vietnam to Thailand as a *nd stop due to some
ticket sells promotion purpose. He advised my parents to complete the travel and
call them back after reaching back to India.
One more thing to add about Viet Jet airways staff that they charged my parents
credit card for $***.**, but they emailed a receipt of Indian Rupees **,***.**. That
amount equals to USD ***.** approximately. This shows their bad intention and
greediness.
We family members have been flying form India and USA to different parts of the
world for almost ** years, but this was really a terrible and painful experience due
to a greedy airline staff. We had to spend total $****.** from INDIA to CHINA
travel.
