- Warrant claim not being honored Open
I had purchased an ASUS ROG notebook on **th December ****. On the **th of Jan, the notebook started to crash. Upon booting Linux, I came across the error of segmentation fault. Suspecting it to be a RAM error, I decided to clean and swap the RAMs. While doing the following operation, the plastic covering of the LED connector got slightly deformed. Upon rebooting, the notebook worked fine, however, the issue started to repeat after another * hours of operation. So, to debug this further, I submitted my laptop to the ASUS official service center at Hyderabad (F* services). Initially, the ASUS service center didn't comment anything for * days apart from saying that the LED connector is damaged, so you have to pay for it to which I agreed. * days later they said that the motherboard is damaged by the customer and it needs to be replaced. To this, I enquired what is the damage. And till date, they keep on saying that the motherboard is damaged without giving any solid reasons. Sometimes, they say the motherboard is burned, sometimes they say the motherboard PCB is broken and most of the time they say that the ASUS technical team has said that the motherboard is damaged. But still, they can not give any proof of their claims and keep on repeating that pay for the motherboard replacement cost. Seeing the erratic behavior of the service center, I raised multiple complaints to the ASUS directly. Every time, they reply that someone from the ASUS technical team will get back to you within * days time. But I never received any communication from them. Even the sales head of India, the Quality assessment people are not taking any actions and are just sitting silently in the mail chain. Rather, they are collectively working to find any possible reasons to extract out money. The notebook was used for hardly *-* days and since then am struggling. The RMA case is already pending since * weeks, still no answer. I would recommend, never to purchase any ASUS product. Worst customer service. I won't like to take the name of the people, but even the senior officials of ASUS are very corrupt and trying big to cheat the customers.
