Few days back there was a software update to my set top box and since then my usb recording stopped. So I registered a complaint (ref# *********) on June **th . The next day the engineer came and informed that my set top box model doesn't support video recording and need to go for another model. The USB recording was very much working till the s/w update. When I called the customer care, they confirmed that my existing model should work which was in contrast with engineer's opinion. I spoke to few customer care people but they all confirmed that my existing model should support recording but there was no option at all in the Menu for recording which used to be there prior to s/w upgrade. Finally I decided to go for latest model by paying additional ***/-. The engineer just installed the device and initiated s/w upgrade and left without waiting for confirmation of recording. The new model also doesn't have any recording option which is as good as my old model. When I called the customer care, they said that the new model (****) will not support recording though their website say that it'd support. So for nearly * weeks I'm unable to record video though I paid ***/- for new model. Writing several emails to customercare yielded no results.
In addition to this, the system was down since June **th as STB was not recognizing the smart card. Hence I registered another complaint (*********) on **th but no one bothered to visit my place for fixing. Finally this was sorted out when the engineer brought new device on **th to fix new device for the recording complaint that I mentioned above.
Hope you'd spread this message across wider audience so that they keep in mind when engaging with Videocon D*h.
