I had booked a return flight from Bagdogra to Kolkata from easemytrip.
Booking ID - EMT********
PNR - SDD**D
Total Amount - Rs.*****
Travel Date -*st April ****.
So even before we could travel the Sikkim government had mentioned that entry to the state will not be possible on the **th of March **** itself. The attachment of their notice is attached herewith. The notification will be self explanatory.
Secondly the nationwide lockdown did not allow any domestic flight operations from **th March **** anyways.
Given the above two points and the fact that no-one had the scope to travel then why am I not refunded the money I paid for this ticket.
Please see that EMT is telling that Spicejet hasn't refunded any money. Well this is my hard earned money and can't just flow down the drain as per their wish. This is an unprecedented scenario and how can these companies just harass a customer like this at these calling times.
Spicejet flight was cancelled that day due to the nationwide lockdown and moreover on the **th March **** itself Sikkim Govt. stopped entry for us for our trip. How can they charge us for the service they did not even provide. I feel cheated to a different extent here and for me **k is not a matter of joke.
Spicejet has brought up a nonsensical propositions telling since we cancelled an evening before **rd evening so we cannot get the money. But they aren't looking into the problem that Sikkim government already called for travel restriction on **th March **** itself. And moreover my travel period was also inside the first phase of nationwide lockdown.
This is straightway cheating and I want them to give a resolution as early as possible and give my money back.
