I booked a ticket (Go-Air flight) on **th July **** (Kolkata to New Delhi). The payment failed first time, so I logged into the system again and booked the flight. After the second transaction, two tickets got booked with two different PNRs, and twice the money got deducted. I immediately contacted go-air airlines, and they informed me that both the PNRs are fake. I then contacted Paytm customer care service, and the executive told me that due to some technical error on Paytm’s end this had happened and also informed me that I would be receiving the ***% refund for both the tickets after deducting the cashback amount. I received a mail also stating this which I have attached here. After receiving this mail, I booked the ticket from some other website as I was sure that Paytm would cancel these tickets.
After a few days, I received emails from Paytm with fresh PNRs, so I contacted customer care again. I was told that this is happening due to system error, and I need to ignore these emails. They asked me to trust the organization as I have already been mailed about the refund. I called Paytm couple of times more because of this confusion and received the same response. So, I ignored the emails. In case they have a call record, they can even verify it. On **th August, I received a mail stating that because they generated new PNRs, they won’t process the refund, but as stated earlier, I was asked to ignore those emails. After that, I called Paytm twice and have not received any satisfactory response. The point is that they have completely cheated me in this case and have proved that they are nothing, but a fraud organization. The technical error was on their end, so they should have acted responsibly. I have spent hours talking to customer care people with no solution. Now also I am getting the same response that because they generated new PNRs, they won’t generate the refund, but the point is that I was asked to ignore those emails. I don’t know how they are not able to understand this!
