- Official Complaint Regarding My Mac Book Pro (C02VXBCDHV29) Service Open
While working on my MacBook Pro on the *th of June **** night, the system crashed and a blank screen popped up with a prohibited mark in the middle of the screen. I did some research and found that it was an operating system issue and that I will have to reinstall everything. I took my MacBook Pro to a nearby Apple authorized service center that is available on the apple.com website by the name B*X (***, *ND FLOOR, NDM* MALL, NETAJI SUBHASH PALACE, WAZIRPUR, NEW DELHI ******).
At B*X I was told that it was an OS related issue and that they'll fix it in an hour or two, and that I can come in later to collect it. As the day passed, I didn't hear from B*X and decided to call them the next morning. I kept on calling with the phone always on busy which really made me furious. After * days, on the **th of June B*X contacted me, telling me that my SSD is corrupted and that they’ll change it under quality program. I asked about it further and was told that the cost would be covered and I don't need to worry more.
I collected my laptop on the **th of June. I had a flight the same day to another state for work purpose and had to take my laptop for work. I rushed to the airport after picking up the MacBook Pro from B*X and while I waited to board I tried to get things done on the laptop. To my surprise, the screen didn't turn on and nothing popped up telling the laptop was working. I tried it after landing and putting up the charger thinking the battery must be down, but nothing. Meanwhile to get my work done I had to rent another laptop in that state which obviously was an unwanted cost on me.
I returned to the city on the **th of June grown frustrated and straight away went to the same service centre to ask them what they did with my system. They said they’ll check it and will get back to me shortly. On **th of June I received a call from B*X, they tell me that now my motherboard is somehow dead and that I need to pay an additional ₹**,*** to get it fixed.
I tried explaining the person that I understand that it was a software issue at the very first and how come it has become a hardware issue? I was taken aback when this guy replied,"Sir, let the technical work and knowledge to us."
I tried reaching Apple Support Centre through call but they were not much of help. All they did was to talk me into paying the complete price for the motherboard when all I understand is that the hardware issue only came after my laptop was returned by B*X stating it was an OS issue.
It is almost a month and my MacBook Pro is in the B*X with no response as they wait for me to pay the amount for the motherboard to get it replaced. I have been using a rental laptop which is an additional cost on me. There was no point buying such an expensive laptop at first place. This is a **** model MacBook Pro and having an OS issue, SSD issue and then Motherboard crashing makes me suspicious of this company B*X to make ways to scrap out money from customers. I would like to put an official complaint regarding the same as well against B*X and would like to learn how to go about it.
