- Not refunding my money even though the bus was canceled Open

I booked a BOKARO KOLKATA ticket through Redbus for one PAMMI TRAVELS Bus due to depart at ** pm on **th March from Bokaro. I called bus operator to enquire about bus pick up at *:** pm when he informed me that the AC bus has been cancelled and he offered to adjust me in a NON AC bus which was to arrive past midnight at Bokaro. Since I had an interview on the afternoon of **th March I needed a full and good night's sleep so I refused the offer and called Redbus who couldn't contact the bus operator and told me to book another ticket which I did( **th March morning * am). Now they are refusing to refund anything and telling me it's my fault that I didn't travel since they provided alternative arrangement. Now when I booked the so called executive class seat for *** rs there were AC sleeper seats for as low as *** available. I booked seat specifically so that I could get a good sleep. I could have easily booked in any other bus but I shelled out extra money for something which I did not receive. Redbus failed to inform me of the change in bus. Even if they're saying there was alternative arrangement then the difference in the price for NON AC and AC seat is more than *** rs.(*** to be exact). Some Redbus guy called me when I was half asleep and said that he won't refund anything. When I said I won't use Redbus in future then he said that he will refund *** rs(I don't know where he got that figure). I had a booking for a hotel in Kolkata through BREVISTAY which I had to cancel. The travel to Kolkata which would have cost me around *** costed me about **** rs because of their unprofessional behavior. Once in the past they behaved similarly for BOKARO RANCHI booking but then I had to accept the alternative because I had no choice. Only thing I am glad of is that I booked my return ticket through MAKEMYTRIP. They are also not publishing my review for which they kept on sending mails. If they won't give me my refund I will drag them to consumer Court after this Corona lockdown ends.
