- Not following TRAI order Open
The latest TRAI implementation for Cable TV says apart from ** mandatory DD channels, subscribers can choose their own ** channels (Free or paid) to make up a total of *** channels for NCF of *** Rs.
But Videocon D*H has prepared their own base tiers which include ** DD channels plus ** FTA channels from various languages for NCF of Rs.***. For eg, Tamil base pack contains ** DD, ** Hindi, * Kannada, ** Malayalam, ** Telugu, ** Tamil channels and few others. How does this make sense for a Tamil viewer to pay *** Rs to watch just ** Tamil channels?

The paid channels from bouquet can be added by paying additional NCF of * Rs/channel. The other option they provide is, we can choose ** DD channels as the base pack and the remaining ** from only the pay channels for NCF of *** Rs. In this case, we cannot view any of the FTA channels at all. The attached image document clearly states that either we buy a base pack or get only DD+paid channels. This is clearly in violation of TRAI order.
Complaints to Nodal officers are unanswered for * days even though they are supposed to acknowledge within * days as per their own SLA.
This is affecting millions of D*H subscribers.
Please take this complaint to create accountability of Videocon D*H.
