- No refund from MakeMyTrip Closed
Booked a cab from MakeMyTrip on **th August **** from Banaglore to Vellore for Rs **** and spent an extra ** Rs for Rs *** worth of MMT Cab Voucher.
After the cab arrived to my location. The driver starts saying that he hasn’t received any money from makemytrip and I need to make the full payment to the driver if I am to board the cab. I refuse saying that I have already paid the full amount and I try connecting to the makemytrip helpline * times once to be left hanging in the air by their “Your call is important to us” answering machine.
Now after no one picked up the call and addressed my concern from makemytrip for about ** minutes. I am starting to get late for my meeting the next day so assuming there has been some misunderstanding between the vendor and makemytrip and I shall be refunded the amount eventually from makemytrip I decide to board the cab as I had no other options left now.
Now the final amount that I had to pay the driver amounts to Rs **** plus state tax of Rs *** which makes it Rs ****. Now according to makemytrip message the night charge of Rs *** for the driver is not included in the trip. So since it is already mentioned I can deduct *** which makes it Rs ****.
Now here’s the worst part. I contact makemytrip on social media for refund but not only do they refuse my request to contact the driver and get it clarified but they also make false claims that I have not made ‘any payment other than night charges and toll charges to the driver’. After contacting the driver he clearly says that he has got a call from the makemytrip vendor and he has clearly stated that I have made the payment in full, which I’ve also got a proof of as a voice recording.
In the end they come up with “the driver did not charge complete amount from you” despite me having all the necessary proofs. Statement of the driver, call recordings, receipts, proof of calls to makemytrip customer care, state tax bill. Despite having all the proofs they are still refusing to give me the refund. If this is not cheating and defrauding your loyal customer who has made bookings worth more than * lakhs in last ** months then I don’t know what is.
