Dear Madam/Sir,
I own a Hyundai Next Gen Verna Fluidic SX *.* CRDi (UP ** CP ****). I bought it last year in
October, **** from Medallion Auto Sales Pvt. Ltd. (BEE AAR HYUNDAI), Gorakhpur (U.P.).
I am writing this mail to bring to your kind attention that on **/**/****, during regular
checkup by my personal driver, he found out that the engine oil has reduced drastically
(almost empty) without any leakage.
Since I got first paid service of my car done on **/**/**** at Mileage: ***** KM., from the
authorized workshop i.e. Medallion Auto Sales Pvt. Ltd. (BEE AAR HYUNDAI), Gorakhpur, I
immediately sent the car to the workshop for investigation. The car was attended by the
Service Advisor Sanjay Kumar Srivastava and he asked to leave it at the workshop so that they
could find the root cause of the problem. They kept the car for three days and was informed on
Friday, **/**/**** by Service Advisor that they didn’t find any external leakage in the engine
and they have to consult with the Company (i.e. Hyundai) for further instruction. Also, I was
told that since Saturday and Sunday are non-working day of the Company, therefore they will
keep the car for two more days. On Monday i.e. **/**/**** received a call from the Service advisor again in the morning and
was informed that they have talked with Company and the Company has instructed to open
the engine to find the problem. I instructed the Service Advisor not to dismantle the engine
and wait for my further orders.
My reservation starts here. The vehicle is only one year old and clocked only ***** KM.
mileage. The car is being used by my Doctor Sister for daily commuting to her clinic and it is
driven by our personal driver. I get the diesel oil filled from reputed, big petrol pump in
Gorakhpur city. We also got all the three free service plus one paid done within the stipulated
time/mileage from same the authorized workshop i.e. Medallion Auto Sales Pvt. Ltd. (BEE AAR
HYUNDAI), Gorakhpur Also, our driver takes utmost care to keep the car in good conditions.
Despite all that, the engine has become faulty. Now, opening the engine will degrade the
performance of the engine and it will never be same as the company fitted. Moreover, it will
decrease the value of my car.
This is not the first incident, just few days later of my first paid service, my car didn’t start. I had
to get my car push start. I have to send my car to the workshop for inspection and was told that
there is no water in the battery. Can you believe, it’s just few days of service the workshop guys
informing there is no water in the battery? What they had been doing in last * services of the
vehicle?
We bought the new Verna due to brand reputation and value and the impeccable service you
guys have been providing over the years in India. But it’s really unfortunate that my car has
developed engine fault at such early age/mileage. I also learned that I am not only facing engine issue, there are several more customer facing engine problem in new Verna.
Its seem manufacturing defect in whole batch of car made by the comapny.
Hence, I request you to replace my vehicle with new due to manufacturing fault with engine. It’s not
acceptable for me to have a repaired engine fitted to my new vehicle. Moreover, I trust your
brand and impeccable customer service and also the new Verna has been awarded ICOTY ****. However if justice is not done to my case, I will not hesitate to approach legal route or social
media. Hope it never comes to that.
