I have a health insurance policy for my mother in law, which was done through Canara bank. The insurance vendor is Apollo Munich(HDFC ergo). When I brought the policy there was a tie up between Canara bank and Apollo Munich, and the annual premium of the policy used to get auto debited from my Canara bank account. But after **th December **** the premium was not debited and policy did not get renewed. After chasing Canara bank, which has disastrous accessibility, I came to know that the tie up between Canara bank and Apollo Munich has come to an end, hence the annual premium was not debited from my Canara bank account. There was no communication from the bank about this business transition. Neither email, nor text, nor a call. Sadly my mom in law is admitted to hospital on *rd Jan ****, doctors have suggested immediate surgery of her small intestine, and unfortunately there is absolutely no cover. Its because of the banks negligence that I am in such a condition today, and will have to pay ******. Despite of paying all the premium in time, I am not able to avail the privileges.
