I purchased a ticket from the easemytrip.com website for spicejet airlines (ticket date: **th apr ****, PNR: JYRCTM). Additionally I also bought a free cancellation package from the website by paying and extra amount of Rs *** ( called EMTC insurance scheme). so total amont I paid was rs **** to EMT agency( ticket price: **** and insurance amount :Rs***).Due to covid -** pandemic the airline cancelled the ticket and refunded the ticket amount of **** in pnr credit shell). I wrote to the Easemytrip on **th Apr to either provide me the benifit of the insurance and refund the ticket amont of **** into my bank account or refund the EMTC insurance amount of Rs *** if they can't provide the insurance benfite. But since then, for last * months, they are only repeating that EMTC amount is non refundable. If that is the case then why didn't they provide me the insurance benifit and refund the ticket amount into my bank account ( which is promised as insurance benifit) instead of puting ticket amont in a credit shell. Also after writing several mails, one executive promised on **th May that insurance amont of rs *** will be refunded after lockdown is over. But I didn't recieve that amount even after * months. when I again wrote to them recently , then once again I am getting the same reply that EMTC insurance amont can't be refunded. They denied to fulfill the promise.
