i did a booking with MMT people for 2nd of june from bhubaneswar to new delhi . but as i did my booking over phone , due to auto correct there was minute mistake in the name , like, adhikaraj should be adhikari and subnasis should be subhasis.. but i thought that it was my mistake so i did not do anything and first consulted with with air india as to whether i can make any amendments in the name and they confirmed that yes it can be done upto three letters. then i have been calling MMT for the same issue atleast 8 to 10 times and raised complaints also but all the time i get a reply that there wont be an issue as they have raised a remark . As i m not travelling and i did the ticket for someone else , i tried conforming with the airlines whether there will be an issue or not ? then they said MMT has raised a remark though, they cant assure whether there will be an issue or not ... hence i had to cancel the ticket and re-book , whose charges are high as the dates are close alongwith that MMT people charged me Rs 6240/- as cancellation fee . the issue which can be solved , they didnot solve it and rather charged me heavily . i got a refund of Rs 242/- .. if the same issue would have been with someone of higher authority or position would they have to face the same ? just a name and i have even provided valid ID proof i.e. aadhar card.
