On June **, ****, I booked a flight with Makemytrip for departure date Oct **, ****, Dublin to Mumbai and return on Nov **, ****. The booking did not reflect under the details of my upcoming trip. I contacted MMT via chat and they told me to wait for ** hours for the PNR to get generated. On June **, ****, when I contacted MMT via chat again their agent took details of my credit card transaction and confirmed the transaction did not go through and the amount will be refunded within ** hours to my credit card account and gave me assurance with a guarantee to go ahead and make another booking. On that assurance, I booked another flight on June **, ****, for the same passenger for the same flight same dates. I kept following up for my refund and only got reply issue has been escalated to the higher authority and they will revert soon. On July **, ****, MMT associate Arun calls and informs me that there are now * bookings for the same passenger and they will raise a request to refund one after I tell him that it is incorrect sales reporting on their behalf and the second ticket was booked only after transaction failed confirmation from their agent. The refund request was raised to British Airways with a wrong reason as duplicate tickets and they have rejected the claim when the refund reason should have been incorrect sales reporting as PNR is not the same. I'm really disappointed with Makemytrip service and their agents seem to be clueless about their own systems. Attaching the chat screenshot, mails and I also have a recording of calls for your reference.
