I called Hathway to query for internet services on *rd of November **** when I moved to a new location. Instantly I got a call from the sales department asking when they can come to house.
I was busy and could not fix an appointment straight-away. Successively I kept getting calls days after asking for convenient time to visit house. I was surprised by the follow-up and thought the service should be really good if I am being followed on so actively.
So I scheduled a meet on *th November and as expected two guys visited my house. They promptly collected details, took payment and got me enlisted on their service. I expected the internet installation to be done by them as well but they were only for the purpose of sales and said the required personnel will visit my house in a day or two. I said fine.
I didn't get any call after that until two days when a person called me asking when I am free. I gave him time within a few hours in afternoon and he agreed. When I called him around an hour later to visit, he didn't pick up the phone. I tried again on the same day but to no avail. He didn't pick up the phone on the next day as well. On inquiring from customer care they said they that a guy will be appointed within a day but I have not heard back from anyone yet.
Need to know why do I have to wait for a technician for installing the internet more than * days when I was promised a technician will visit my house latest by two days? I am a software professional and internet connection is top priority for me. I am using my mobile data for work purpose and losing a lot of money as data charge. Who is going to pay for that? It seems like a mistake choosing your service even after reading reviews from fellow friends as compared to your competitors like ACT who have much better service. That too this is your service in Koramangala which is a very central area in the city so not sure what will be the quality in outside regions. Surprisingly I was pestered with calls from the sales department for days and they promptly visited the next day after I fixed appointment. Does your responsibility end as soon as you have taken my money. Am I supposed to do the installation myself? Why is your service such a burden after the the payment. I feel like a hostage now. What am I supposed to do now?
