As a regular customer I bought a Alma six seated dinning set from Pepperfry on **th November **** and it got delivered by them on *th December ****. Item was big so it was splitter into many box (*box). I opened two of them and got to know that that’s the table is broken and chair was chipped off from top corner.so, report about it to them through their customer care well, they said we would provide you replacement but first we would send you Polish person who would visit and see if things repairable so he would do it otherwise replacement is there so I agreed. Polish person visited and he hands up he’s unable to fix it so he took photos of it and sent it to Pepperfry through app provided by company to him. Later , I got call from them on **th December and they said actually we don’t offer replacement As per policy we would refund the amount of your product I asked why? Earlier you told me that we would provide you replacement ! I refused to talk with her because she kept telling me the same so I asked her to arrange a call with their seniors because she was not listening me that a customer was being cheated so she did placed call and after sometime I got call from their manager who was calling me from Bangalore I briefed him about this case so he told me that I apologise but you would have to place the order again because we don’t provide replacement as per policy then I said why did your person lied to me first place she could have denied and told me the truth and what they did is due to Christmas they raised the value of that product from *****rs to *****rs now there is huge margin difference if you see it’s almost rs***** now after **days they put me in dark with their lies and now telling me to place new order as per online price I said why? Your people lied me otherwise I would have place the same order long time ago at same price now that guy told me we have two offer for you you can chose one of them either you can take **% as a compensation plus the same item which was delivered or we will refund the full amount plus **% additional cash back on your next order. I chose first option of **%discount along with item which was delivered to me. He given me written mail on this. He said it would take a week or so so rest assured just send me your bank details which I did and waited so long that I got mail from them on **th December or so that they refunded my full amount which should not have done as per that guy who promised me and even written me mail I was supposed to get the same item which was delivered to me as broken and **% as a compensation amount well I was shocked to see that because that was another lie from that guy end I called them and they kept telling me nothing can be done item has been picked up and amount is refunded I said what is going on with me ! Why these online portals lie to its customers. Now nothing is going on so I came here writing and attaching the documents as evidence for justice. Help me out guys these guys wasted my one month and few days . It could be you next time .
