Without any formal instruction Vijaya Bank, Howrah Br converted two amounts of Howrah Improvement Trust of Rs.*,**,**,***/= and Rs.*,**,**,***/= as FDs @*.**% on **th April ****. When discovered, the Bank was instructed to refund money prematuredly in order to prevent loss to public exchequer and for meeting up the Trust liabilities. The Bank has been sitting upon the FD with all trivial submissions, paying no heed to the need of the Organisation.
