- Faulty car given - could die in an accident Open
A swift was booked on **/**/** ( * am ) from chennai under Anshu Rathour name. On my return from pondicherry the car started behaving unexpectedly. The steering wheel suddenly tightened up and the car lights and engined turned off.
It happened while i was trying to overtake a truck. It’s perfectly okay that things can go wrong . I called the customer care and on my first conversation at nearly *pm they said me
*. We can tow the car
*. If any damage to the car is caused internally or externally after this conversation. The charges will be put on your account.
*. We can ask the tow truck to bring a taxi along. (Do u guarantee safety in that taxi, who is taking responsibility ? )
I along with my family was *** km away from Chennai, towing the car would take *-* hours. I inquired can I be provided with some alternatives. They said that I will have to wait till the tow car arrives and until then I cannot leave the car. Most importantly I said “Do You guarantee the safety of my family at that time of the night in the middle of the highway ?”
Instead of being helped by the customer service they were being robotic and repeating “I understand your situation and I’m sorry for the same” . Well did they really understand the situation that I along with my family could face a real hit from the truck while I was overtaking and the car froze. There were life’s at risk. There was no place to go and take shelter . Where am I supposed to wait till the tow Truck arrives ? On the highway ? Who guarantees the safety?
Even after calling and asking them to take action they said tow truck has departed at ** pm.
** pm ! It will take * hours to reach your destination and until then you have to wait near the car.
The call was made at * and actions were taken at **pm and I have to wait till * am on the middle of the highway risking lives of people I care about. It was the worst customer service I had ever experienced where executives didn’t know how to act in such situations.
The car was not analysed before handing over. The power steering fluid in swift was low, which caused the car to tighten up abruptly.
Then how did we return?
We booked a creta from Chennai and asked my friend to drive it to us and take us back home safely. Paying **** extra for the booking and trying to explain the executives of Zoomcar who literally kept delaying our calls and saying “we will call after * mins” that * mins never came.
I ask you to imagine the same situation where u had your loved one in the car and the car could face a real blow from a truck because it wasn’t checked well enough. On top of that the executives took *-* hours to get a solution that was “we can tow the car” and you were in the middle of nowhere at midnight. I am determined to a seek a legal action against the same.
