- Excess EMI refund from Upwards Open
I had bounced my payment due to which I started receiving N# of calls from Upwards Financial tech, founded and lead by Abhishek Soni and Nimesh Verma.
While ignoring the numerous email/phone/sms's received per day for payment, I had made the payment through Razorpay gateway. The payment of which has been acknowledged. However, at the same time, the bank collected excess EMI from me, by taking advantage of the NACH.
When I reached out to them on Sep *th, complaining the same, the Upwards replied that they will refund the excess EMI in *-* days. As of today, it's been more close to **+ days and still haven't received response from Customer support, grievances or either of the founders, to whom the message has been delivered directly.
The point is
*) Bank has been incapable of refunding the excess EMI. They highlight the payment has been done numrous times, but when asked for the UTR number, they claim that bank has not provided them. We all know how far the payment execution is true then
*) Besides point *, the fintech has to some point understand that if manual payment is not to be done and only NACH will be performed inspite of delays, then the details of the client also need not be shared with the collection agents.
