- Destination address changed by the ola app at the end of the ride Open
I was wrongly charged for the ride that I took on **th November from Lane Number *A, Gola Road, Danapur, Patna, Bihar to Pauni Hasanpur, Vaishali, Bihar.
I had booked two rides on the same day and the first ride was cancelled because the driver had refused to come, I have attached the screenshot of the same. I was shown that I would be charged an amount of ₹**** but the driver refused the ride and I had mentioned the same reason while cancelling it.CRN **********.
The second ride(CRN **********) that I booked showed me ₹**** as the fare and I paid the same via PhonePe UPI while I was still on the way.
But after the bill got generated it showed that I had ridden for ***.* KMS and the total amount came as ₹****.
The driver called the support team and they said that I need to pay it and call the customer care service and have it refunded since I had the proof from OlaCabs SMS that had the meter readings from the cab and it shows ** kms. I didn't want the driver to face troubles so I gave him ₹**** extra in cash. And later on the same day I called Ola Cust. service and raised a complaint about the ride.
The only resolution they are giving is that I was charged correctly for the ride.
According to Ola, the driver took some shortcut to my destination but the destination they are talking about is *** kms away from where I was dropped.
My question is, had I chosen the other destination, would I not be shown an amount of ₹****+ as my estimated fee while I was booking the cab itself. According to Ola, the outstation charges goes as ₹**.*/km.
Let's say my destination was ***kms away, would I not be shown at least ₹****?(excluding the base charges and the taxes)
I was shown ₹**** and I paid the same using my upi.
I have attached the normal days estimated charge amount if I had chosen the other address, that also shows ₹****+ for the other address and ₹****+ for my actual address.
Also, you can call the driver and ask if I asked him to follow any route? He simply opened the Google Maps when he started the ride and dropped me to my destination. If I had the other address chosen, then why didn't he drop me there?
Also, let's say he dropped me to the said address, which is ***.* kms away, the text that I received from ola shows that my ride started at **.** AM and ended at *.** PM. How on earth did he drop me in ** mins?
Let me say it again, I had travelled for about **kms and your app says ***kms.
According to your say..if I had travelled *** kms in * hr ** mins. How can you exceed the speed limit and put your customer's life at risk?
- Also, if you say the destination has varied. Considering it has happened, that means your app has some glitch. When I know my exact destination, why would I give a wrong address?
Ola's response is simply causing me mental harassment.
