- Delivery canceled by Swiggy refund not processed Closed
I had placed an order with swiggy which was canceled without giving me any prior intimation. To give you some background, I am currently at my in-laws place in an army cantt area with limited cell phone network. I had ordered a cake for my parents in law's anniversary along with some biscuit packets.
I received an email at *:** pm that my order will be held for ** min. On opening my swiggy app at *:** pm I saw that my order has already been canceled. On contacting a customer service representative I was told that they tried to contact me via call and sms and my order will not be delivered and I will not be entitled to a refund. I have paid in full for this order and have been at home - neither did the delivery rep ring my bell nor leave the order outside my door. Swiggy has also previously delivered to this same address. So I do not see any reason why the delivery guy could not find the address. What is more upsetting is that Swiggy did not try to reach me via email before canceling my order. I have all emails as proof.
I have been a very big customer of swiggy and have used swiggy across different cities and have recommended the same to several of my friends. I have also always tipped all delivery guys generous amounts during the lockdown period. But today I'm very disappointed with swiggy and the approach taken by the customer service team. If swiggy had intentions to deliver my order, they would have tried to contact me via email before canceling the order. The delivery guy could have placed the order outside my door or with the security guard. Give most of these items are non perishables they could have still can deliverEd my order. But keeping merchandise worth **** Rs with them is not fair and is completely unacceptable. What is even more disappointing is that Swiggy has ruined my in-law's anniversary.
