- Defective television not getting replaced within warranty Closed
- on **th September I ordered a TV online(Mi LED Smart TV *A Pro ** inch with Android)
- on *st October the product got delivered.
- On **th Oct I noticed some strange blue lines on the television. The same day I lodged a complaint with Flipkart. To which Flipkart informed since the device has exceeded ** days replacement period they won't be able to replace the TV instead asked me to contact Xiaomi directly and in case if they don't work they will intervene.
- On **nd Oct I complained about it to Xiaomi.
- On **rd Oct service engineer was scheduled to visit, instead, he came the next day.
- On **th Oct he checked the television and confirmed the issue with a display panel and told he will be back in ** days with the new display panel, we argued on why repair and why not replace the tv.
To which he mentioned the warranty is not for the television but is of parts inside. So he won't replace the tv. For faulty parts, He will change it as per warranty.
I checked the bill and xiaomi website, for the first-year TV is covered under warranty.
- On **th Oct, I called him again and asked him for claiming a new tv under warranty to which I was informed, he does not and cannot replace tv. I was asked to contact the service center in Borivali. I tried that number for a few hours either the number was busy or went unanswered.
- On the night of **th I logged an email complaint and twitter complaint to Xiaomi to which I have been getting daily pasted responses, a technician would visit and repair my device.
- on **th I logged a complaint with Flipkart as well to intervene, to which I was informed this is not something Flipkart can help me on.
- on **st I receive my complaint /service request that has been closed without even replacing my television.
