- Deceiving practices by Samsung to cheat customers Open
I had pre-booked Samsung Galaxy Tablet lite s* on ** June **** via the Samsung shop app. When I was ordering the product then pre-book offer was included in the transaction. Gradually upon completion of the transaction the pre-offer was removed.
The order tracking details stated that the product would be delivered by ** June ****. The order status remained only approved not even shipped till the very last moments. I had contacted customer service numerous times. After receiving no help from the customer service, I wrote to Samsung India service head.
On *rd July, I received a call from Samsung stating that my product would be delivered in a week and the pre-book offer will also be applicable. So, I decided to wait.
Affairs of events took a distasteful turn on *th July *, ****. It reflected the boorish and retrograde approach of the company. At **:** AM I received a mail from Samsung stating that they have received my cancellation request and at **;** AM I received a mail stating that my cancellation request has been processed.
The fact of the matter is I never initiated the cancellation request. Eventually, I called the customer service where they tried to extenuate the situation initially by saying that it’s a "technical glitch" from our end and then they said that because the product wasn't in stock so the company had canceled the order. I confronted and asked then why did the company make it seems like I initiated the request. He didn't reply.
Eventually, Samsung mailed me in the afternoon that they had canceled the order, not me.
So, the company canceled my order after ** days stating that the product is out of stock. To make matters worse, Samsung mails me in the evening stating how the product is back in stock. The same product was now available, but the catch here was that company had increased the prices of the offer attached this time from Rs.**** to Rs. ****. I am attaching all the details of this incident.
So, from infringing the customer in the morning the company went on to offer me the same product at higher costs. Such shamelessness and audacity
I am a university student and all my classes have been shifted to virtual settings. My classes started from *st of July. I had planned to buy a product that could help me in the virtual learning experience. But the tablet never came and I had to bear huge losses in studies. Had I known this earlier I would have gone for other products in the market
These are tough times. Income sources have been very weak. I had earmarked that money for a tablet /laptop only. Ordering the product from Samsung was a contingent choice. I regret ordering from them.
