I required a fast internet connection with * GBps speed in order to give my international exam scheduled on **nd and **rd February, ****.It was with this purpose that I contacted Airtel agent, Mr Gopal Verma on **th Feb **** who was clearly told about our specific requirement. He informed us regarding the *GBps plan.Our basic prerequisite was the plan should be activated on the same day or within the next day. I was given repeated assurances by him and his team members (Mr Sourav and Mr Vishal) that the connection would be installed and activated on the same day.Despite my reservations regarding these supposedly tall claims, I decided to ignore my doubts and go ahead with installation as I trusted the 'Airtel' brand.
Much to our chagrin, our worst fears came true as despite ** hrs having passed since the installation, the internet speed ranged between *** - *** MBps.Meanwhile we made repeated calls to Mr Saurav and Mr Vishal who assured us that there there was a minor glitch and the * GBps speed would be activated very soon. he false assurances by the Airtel team kept us in a state of extreme duress and trepidation. We were facing extreme uncertainty and felt that our fate was hanging in the balance.In the end, we were forced to use our existing connection of Act fibernet and had to contend with glitches and repeated interruptions owing to the slower speed.On top of that, both Airtel team members had stopped taking my calls and I am at a loss on whom to contact
Suffice to say that we are feeling cheated and foolish enough to have fallen for the pretentious words of Airtel agent and team.I did not expect such a conduct by a company of such stature and reputation which was the main reason for our opting for Airtel service.
We regret having opted for Airtel connection for which we paid a hefty price of Rs. **** and more than the financial loss, it is the breach of trust by Airtel that has severely impacted my mental health, so much so that I regret having trusted and associated with the Airtel brand. I therefore mailed them on **feb to discontinue this connection with immediate effect and refund back my money that was spent on this defunct connection. However they have charged me till ** March including installation charges and are not ready to pay my full refund back.
