I tried ordering food from Yes Yes Hotel via Zomato app and made the payment using simple pay. Payment went through and order was never processed. On my simple pay, account that zomato charged Rs. ***. I tried again to order food from the same hotel and made the payment of Rs. *** again through Simple Pay. This time order was processed and I was tracking the order. Suddenly I received a notification that my order has been canceled. Delivery guy never came to deliver the food and never contacted me. When I called the hotel, he said zomato canceled the order. Now, I've been charged Rs. *** twice which is Rs. ***. I've been contacting zomato customer care and they just sent the same response every time, "if the order gets cancelled post acceptance then cancellation charges equal to the order value gets levied as the food is already prepared and we do not support food wastage on our platform. Since we've checked that you were already informed about the cancellation charges by our team. Hence, a refund for this order won't be possible from our end." I've told them many times that I did not cancel the order and to check delivery guy's call logs. They just copy and pasted the same response. Please help me get this resolved. It's less amount but I'd rather give it people in need than paying zomato for something which I have not done.
